FAQ

Our BABA-compliant lighting products are manufactured in the United States to align with federal infrastructure funding requirements. We review our manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure they meet applicable BABA guidance.

BAA compliance means our lighting products are manufactured in the United States and meet the required domestic content threshold under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). In general, this requires that at least 60% or more of the total cost of components be domestically sourced, with the final product manufactured in the U.S. (Note: this percentage is subject to increase under current FAR regulations.) BAA compliance allows our products to be specified for federal government procurement projects.

TAA compliance means our lighting products are manufactured or substantially transformed in the United States or a designated TAA-compliant country. Unlike Buy America requirements, TAA does not require a specific domestic content percentage; compliance is based on substantial transformation that results in a new and distinct product. This allows our TAA-compliant products to be specified for U.S. government and federally funded projects.

Buy America Act (BAA) Compliance requires a specific domestic content percentage. BAA requires that at least 60% or more of the total cost of components be domestically sourced, with the final product manufactured in the U.S. Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Compliance does not require a specific domestic content percentage. Instead, compliance is based on the product being “manufactured or substantially transformed” in the United States or a designated TAA-compliant country, resulting in a new and distinct product.
