Shat-R-Shield, Inc. Introduces Hazardous Locations Incoplas™ LED Hybrid

Februrary 2, 2018 — Salisbury, NC – Shat-R-Shield, Inc. announced the launch of the Hazardous Locations Incoplas™ LED Hybrid fixture. This new product represents an extension to the patent-pending line of ultra-lightweight, corrosion-resistant LED fixtures designed with thermally conductive engineered polymers. This multi-purpose light source is functional as an area light, flood light or wall pack, configured as such with its various mounting, optic and lens options. Available in packages of 45 watts with up to 5,600 lumens and 90 watts with up to 11,200 lumens, every Hazardous Locations Incoplas™ LED Hybrid fixture is built to customer specification in Salisbury,
NC.

The Hazardous Locations Incoplas™ LED Hybrid is rated for Class 1 Division 2, Class 2 Division 2 and Class 3 Divisions 1 and 2. These certifications make the fixture ideal for applications where infrequent exposure to flammable gases, liquids and dust may occur. In addition to its hazardous locations ratings, the Incoplas™ LED Hybrid also boasts a certification base including ABS, DLC, cULus, NSF, UL1598, UL1598A, UL844, UL Wet Location, NEMA4X, NEMA5, IP66, IP69K and USDA approval.

The Hazardous Locations Incoplas™ Hybrid was derived from the need for a non-corrosive hazardous locations luminaire that could withstand exposure to a wide variety of vapors, dusts and corrosives where traditional options made with metallic bodies have failed. Shat-R-Shield’s proprietary blend of thermally conductive engineered polymers provide resilience against corrosive elements while optimizing heat management of the LEDs in an ultra-lightweight package. By offering a 10 position stainless steel trunnion mount, the fixture can be positioned for flood or wall applications and optical options allow beam angles to be adjusted accordingly.
