October 10, 2014 – Shat-R-Shield Inc., the leader in protective lighting, has received ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2008 for quality management.
ISO certification defines the criteria for a quality management system and is accepted worldwide as the standard and best practice to improve company efficiency, minimize risk and maximize opportunity. Shat-R-Shield made the decision to pursue ISO certification in October 2012 and has invested significant hours of training, auditing and implementation of the quality management system company-wide to achieve the important milestone.
Shat-R-Shield Quality Manager, Kathryn Nolan, spearheaded the program under the tutelage of NC State University. “ISO certification is an achievement that will sustain the excellence of our company through the evolving technology in our industry,” says Nolan. “Obtaining certification, demonstrates to customers that ‘you say what you do and you do what you say’ in regards to providing consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
By obtaining ISO certification, Shat-R-Shield is pledging itself to continuous improvement, with focus on quality through self-evaluation to enhance the response to customer and grow into the future. This designation will allow Shat-R-Shield the opportunity to tap into markets that require ISO as an industry standard while providing assurance to its existing customer base.
